We asked Giacomo, Italian kite freestyle champion and our kitesurfing instructor at the ASD Sardinia Kite Village, to intoduce us the fabulous spot of Punta Trettu, situated on the south – west coast of Sardinia and, from this year, the official seat of the Kitesurfing School.
“Although Punta Trettu is a spot that has yet to make a name for itself, it is definitely as good as the brazilian lagoons, thanks to the constant wind and the natural flat water condition. The spot is very spacious so as to host a large number of kites in all safety.
Also, I sincerely have to say that after testing many places and lagoons, Punta Trettu is the right spot to practice and sharpen your freestyle skills.
I personally chose it as my favourite place where I can train in all tranquillity.
Punta Trettu works with many winds as its geographical position and exposure don’t present obstacles of any sort; therefore, we can benefit from a great Northwesterly, a good Westerly and a wonderful Scirocco and Easterly winds.
Again, thanks to the South – westerly and Thermal winds, you are always guaranteed 5/10 knots stronger winds than the usual expectations!.”
