FrançaisThe beginner course is designed for those who are starting this exciting sport from zero. It is suitable for everybody, the only prerequisites are to be healthy and in good physical condition as well as to be able to swim.
- The course has a total duration of 6 hours and it is spread out over 3-4 days depending on the availability of the student and on the weather conditions.
- Lessons are planned on a daily basis, following an accurate schedule that we communicate by SMS to all students the night before.
- You will be supplied with a radio helmet, which will allow you to communicate with your instructor in real time over a long distance.
- Our school only hires highly experienced, IKO & FIV certified, multilingual instructors.
What you will learn
The goal of the beginner course is to enable you to become an independent rider, which includes learning how to handle any type of kitesurf equipment and how to practice independently in complete safety.
The course is split into 2 stages:
First stage
You will learn how to fly the kite, first using a smaller kite (trainer kite) and then with a normal-sized but underpowered kite. You will be able to practice in total safety.
Once you learn kite control you will continue with:
- Techniques to move through the water without the board (body drag)
- How to recover the board when it is behind you (upwind body drag)
- Techniques for relaunching the kite from the water and self rescuing
Second stage
The second half of the course focuses on performing successful water starts until you are able to ride your first tacks safely. At that point you will be ready to kitesurf on your own. We recommend to always practice under the supervision of a school instructor.

You will be guided step by step by an instructor for the whole duration of the course.

Beginner course in couple
In case you want to learn with a buddy, a partner, a spouse or simply a friend, you have the option to take the beginner course as two students and one instructor.
This arrangement will give you a chance to save some money on the total price of the lesson. Students will take turns practicing, will get a chance to watch each other in action and will be able to learn from the other guy’s mistakes.
N.B. In order for this type of course to be effective and practically possible, students must have a weight difference no greater than 10 kg.Duration: 1 hour

Group Kitesurf Course for Beginners
If you are a group of 3 friends, you can choose to attend the group kitesurf course for beginners, which includes one instructor with three students.

Take lesson from the boat
Taking kite boat lessons gives you a chance to be taught without any interruption and without the need of stopping and walking upwind, as it is required by the traditional courses.
You will be able to practice different stances, riding non-stop for the entire duration of the lesson, always under the supervision of your instructor, who will communicate with you using the supplied radio helmet.
This type of lesson is held in an area immediately surrounding the spot of Punta Trettu. Students are taken there and returned to shore by boat.
Price: € 80,00/h (The price is inclusive of boat rental)
Possibility to practice downwind for groups of at least 3 people
